The UpLift RNO program is an airport “rehearsal” specially designed for individuals with autism spectrum disorders, their families and aviation professionals. It’s also helpful for individuals with other neurodevelopmental disabilities / limited abilities, and is designed to alleviate some of the stress that families who have a child with autism or other disability experience when traveling by air. The program provides families with the opportunity to practice entering the airport, obtain boarding passes, passing trough security, and how to board a plane. It also provides insight as to the sensory aspects of mid-air travel, from take-off to landing.
